Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 1, 2026
Phil The Barber LLC ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website or book an appointment, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
- Booking details: your name, phone number, email address, service address, chosen services, appointment date and time, and any notes you provide.
- Payment information: deposits are processed by our booking and payment providers (Barberly and Stripe). We do not store your full card number. Balance payments made through Apple Pay, Cash App, Venmo, or tap-to-pay card payments are handled by those payment services.
- Website data: like most websites, our site and its hosting provider may collect basic technical information such as your browser type, device, and pages visited. The booking widget may use cookies needed for it to work.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To schedule, confirm, and provide your appointment, including traveling to your service address
- To send booking confirmations, reminders, and updates about your appointment
- To process deposits, payments, and refunds
- To respond to your questions and improve our service
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, such as our booking platform (Barberly), payment processors (Stripe, Apple Pay, Cash App, Venmo), our SMS and email provider (Brevo), and our website host, and only as needed for them to provide their services. We may also disclose information if required by law.
SMS / Text Messaging
If you give us your mobile number and opt in to text messages, we use it only to send the messages you agreed to receive. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except service providers (such as our SMS provider, Brevo) that deliver messages on our behalf.
4. Marketing
We will only send you promotional messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
5. Data Retention
We keep booking and payment records for as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal and tax requirements, then delete or anonymize them.
6. Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Your Choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to any records we are required to keep. Depending on where you live, including New Jersey, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws.
8. Children
Our website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information online. Appointments for minors should be booked by a parent or guardian.
9. Third-Party Services
Our booking widget and payment options are provided by third parties whose own privacy policies apply to the information they process.
